Falling Tender

Falling tender; Interlaced
The shattered-glass ropes that tugged us down begging to poison lay gingerly across our necks, softly caressing every chord of muscle. We are the fullest type of broken; the warmest freeze. A thorn bush caught your hand and a tear of blood responded. Do you remember that fire between our lips the first time they touched? It’s all the same, you see. I could be choked by the vines of the sea or I could fall in love losing breath with every plunge. When you feel it, you know. I only wonder what makes us so blind…
Recognizing such parallels requires a huge step back, a step big enough to be able to reject the connotations that make pain and pleasure so opposite. Here, characteristics of Surrealism enter Falling Tender; Interlaced and weave through paint to define a distinct style. Both canvasses are a mixed media production of oil paint, acrylic paint, photo collage, fabric, molding paste, poly-acrylic gloss, and oil glaze.
